Update (25th of May, 2009)

For all of you who could not get any information out of the homepage above, I want to give you some further details about this activity.

Originally the plan was to take part in the run up the 101 which was on Sunday the 17th of May. Unfortunately Jerome returned from France after the application period was over. That placed us in the situation that we had to find some other activity to have some recreation and fun. And as it sometimes is in live, I found a flyer for the PUMA Night Run the next day. (Yes, I bought something at a PUMA Store, again. But no shoes, to put some minds at ease.) Anyway finally Jerome made the application at the homepage you could see above – gladly he had practices Chinese for some years to do important things like that.

But let me get to the more important part of the thing – the event itself. Intentionally I do not say that the run was the most important thing, cause the show they made before (yes, before!!) we started competing for some place on the street to put our feet on, was a lot of fun. Beside a cheer leaders dancing act and some people which seemed well know to all, except us, they had a joined aerobic warm up program. Now try to imagine four over-motivated coaches on a stage and in front of them an audience, all dressed in running dresses toped by neon green shirts, all together doing some exercises which could ether be part of my weekly yoga class or a sequence from one of Detlef D! Soost´s dance acts. (For all the people who do not know the dance coach, find more information at this link: http://www.deesworld.de/)

This colourful scene was followed by a great start of the run. But as I wrote above it was more a fighting for some space than really running. Due to some narrow streets, the run took place on, it was impossible to run as you want. But as always I could find something good about that as well – I could not miss the course. Because of the high humidity I was glad that I just chose to go for the 5km and not for the professional path with a length of 10km. Anyway both of us, Jerome and I, finished the run and had a smile on our face. And we both had the feeling as we deserved a winner picture like this:
